Tim Malott

Tim Malott

Managing Partner

Tim Malott is Shoreline Partners Managing Partner and serves as President and CEO of Shoreline’s broker-dealer affiliate, ShorelineAmbrose Advisors, LLC.

Since joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Malott has led numerous sale, merger, acquisition, and financing assignments across a wide array of industries. A former CPA, he holds four securities licenses: Series 24 (Principal), 79 (Investment Banking), 62 (Corporate Securities), and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law). His career spans public accounting, commercial banking, and investment banking, through which he gained knowledge and experience in nearly every industry and business sector.

Mr. Malott and his wife live in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego.
Josh Donnelly

Josh Donnelly

Managing Director & Partner

Josh Donnelly joined Shoreline Partners in 2017 and focuses on providing marketing and due diligence support to sell-side clients and new business development. Prior to joining Shoreline, Mr. Donnelly worked in the investment banking department at Stifel, Nicolaus & Company in Los Angeles.

Mr. Donnelly holds Series 79 & 63 securities licenses. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Treasurer for the San Diego Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.

Mr. Donnelly lives in the Poway area of San Diego with his wife, their two sons, and their dogs, Moose and Bear.
John Reynolds

John Reynolds

Managing Director & Partner

John Reynolds joined Shoreline Partners in 2019. He focuses on providing marketing and advisory services for sell-side clients, raising capital, and new business development. Mr. Reynolds holds Series 79 & 63 securities licenses.

Before joining Shoreline, Mr. Reynolds provided leadership and business development for ProVisors, a nationwide networking organization for senior-level professionals. He was also a Relationship Manager for Vistage, a CEO peer-to-peer mentoring company that provides.

Mr. Reynolds lives in the San Diego area with his wife and two sons.

Neil Shroff

Managing Director, Bay Area

Neil Shroff’s experience includes over 20 years in mergers and acquisitions, startups, executive management, and management consulting. Most recently, Mr. Shroff co-founded an online education company and served as the CEO of a venture-backed DNA sequencing startup. Both companies were acquired.

Mr. Shroff has been an investment banker and M&A advisor since 2008. He regularly gives speeches and presentations to CEOs and industry groups nationwide, and he is regularly quoted in Inc., Entrepreneur, Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, and the Silicon Valley Business Journal regarding M&A and increasing private company value.

Mr. Shroff lives in San Carlos in Northern California, ​​where he keeps busy with his two boys, programming, learning how to fly, and cooking.
Lucas Bachman

Lucas Bachman joined Shoreline Partners in 2024. He uses his marketing and financial expertise to provide advisory services for the firm’s privately held clients, along with business development.

Before joining Shoreline, Mr. Bachman generated new business for 8 years as an Account Executive with Enterprise Fleet Management. Working with a nationwide fleet leasing, outsourcing, and advisory firm, Mr. Bachman developed expertise in helping business owners and executives create financial and operational value.

Mr. Bachman lives in Pleasant Hill, California, with his wife Thais.
Monica Fleming, Managing Director

Monica Fleming

Managing Director

In joining Shoreline Partners, Monica Fleming brings 25 years of experience in middle-market commercial banking, across various industries, supporting growth, financing needs, and M&A opportunities. Most recently, she served as a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Umpqua Bank where she leveraged her expertise to foster valuable client relationships and drive business success. The majority of Mrs. Fleming’s career was with City National Bank, where she used her credit skills to deliver tailored solutions that met the unique needs of her clients. As a Managing Director with Shoreline Partners, Mrs. Fleming utilizes her experience as a banker to represent companies in sell-side transactions, ensuring they meet their strategic objectives and maximize value.

Mrs. Fleming is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. She serves on the Advisory Council of Classics 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization in San Diego that provides high-quality classical music concerts and programs to school children. She is also actively involved with her children’s high school, on the boards of the Mira Mesa Instrumental Music Boosters and the Mira Mesa High School Site Council. She lives in San Diego with her husband and two kids.

Andrew Malott

Andrew Malott

Senior Associate

Andrew Malott joined Shoreline Partners in 2019. He is responsible for writing confidential memorandums and executive summaries for companies that engage Shoreline Partners. His writing is designed to convey the unique story and value proposition of each company.

Mr. Malott has two decades of experience in writing, editing, and publishing. He has worked as an editor and layout/cover designer for Airleaf Publishing; sales associate and copywriter for Elusive Disc, Inc.; and copy editor on the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics account for Lumina Datamatics, Inc.

Mr. Malott lives in La Porte, Indiana, with his wife and daughter, where he enjoys reading, bike rides, hiking the dunes, and playing board games.

Phil Currie

Phil Currie

Founder & Advisor

Following a move to San Diego from the Pacific Northwest, Phil Currie founded Shoreline Partners, LLC, in 1992, building on his experience as a consultant and entrepreneur. Mr. Currie served as the Firm’s Managing Partner for over two decades. Through his success at Shoreline, Mr. Currie became recognized as an expert in building value and selling privately held businesses and was a sought-after lecturer and speaker throughout the Western United States. He also authored and published numerous articles on mergers and acquisitions. Today, he continues to mentor the Firm’s Managing Directors on how to succeed in M&A transactions for privately held companies.

 

Throughout his career, Mr. Currie served on numerous corporate, educational, and civic boards and currently serves on the Boards of Litehouse Foods, Inc., and 24 Hours for Hank. He and his wife, Linda, reside in La Jolla, California.
