Mr. Morris is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor and has led numerous sale, merger and acquisition transactions, corporate recapitalizations, and debt and equity financings.  In these transactions he has consistently achieved the highest values for his clients while optimizing deal structure and terms.

During a 25 year career in San Diego, Mr. Morris has worked on engagements across diverse industries.  He has completed leveraged and management buyouts, stock and asset sales, venture capital funding and private placements up to $100 million.  His experience includes six years of public accounting where he practiced in the areas of corporate finance and general business consulting, working with such clients as Isis Pharmaceutical, Caterpillar Capital and Motorola. 

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Morris founded CFO Strategies, LLC, a CFO Outsourcing and Consulting firm that provided interim CFO staffing, debt and equity financings, and merger and acquisition consulting for high growth, venture backed companies.  CFO Strategies later integrated its practice into a large San Diego-based CPA and Consulting firm where Mr. Morris continued to lead CFO Strategies as a partner.

Mr. Morris is a past member of the Institute Of Management Accountants and has served as Adjunct Professor of Finance & Accounting at the University of California at San Diego.  He has also served on several Boards including the San Diego Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Entrepreneurial Management Center at San Diego State University.  Mr. Morris’ community involvement includes the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Family Business Forum at San Diego State University.  Morris holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and earned the Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor credential from the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisition Advisors and Loyola University Chicago.
